The worst 2 parts are the rear plastic pin holding the heat shield onto the cooler and the exhaust temp tube that bolts to the back of the cooler. My support bracket for that tube has a factory slot in it, so the rear nut only needs to be slightly loosened so it can slide off. WebJul 19, 2010 · Exhaust manifold bolts are 32 ft lbs!!! And start just to the right of centre, top bolt. Torque to 32 ft lbs, go bellow that and torque. Then go to the left bottom, torque that, then above, torque. Really you start off making a small box, then work your way out doing larger and larger rectangles....if that makes Sense! WebThis truck does not have the stainless exhaust stud recall done. Engine oil temps are kind of high while pulling grades, 119C/248F is not out of the ordinary. Solutions: I would really like to go with the later '17+ GT37 and maintain emissions systems. Replacing the exhaust manifold concerns me with the stud recall.

I had the same issue on my 03 Cummins sevral years back, had a small leak, torqued the bolts and that fixed the problem.
