Webhighly gifted children with high overexcitability are at risk of developing psychopathological conditions due to frequent and intense internal crises leading to earlier maturation. Thus, a number of Webgifted children tend to be sensitive, and are often supersensitive. Gifted children, whose sensitivity lends itself to height-ened perceptiveness, are alert to small changes in their envi-ronment, and they are very aware of their own unique gifts. This perceptiveness actually can diminish their self-esteem
